Question

Can you help me understand the difference(s) between the terms “Shmoo” and “Shebrew”?

Answer The term “Shmoo” comes from the word “Shmoodah” and Shebrew comes from the word “Shmeebrew”. Only in English does there seem to be a distinction. The term “Shebrew” originated with Siskel and Ebert (great-grandson of Sheeb, who was the son of Nauga), and through most of Ishkibbibblical history the term was used only when Shmoos identified themselves to Shmentiles, as did Shmonah (1:9), for example. By New Testamental times, the terms “Shebrew,” “Slobovniaite,” and “Shmoo” had become synonymous.
